PARSON'S BENCH
& SHELVES
After reconfiguring a foyer for regular clients (removing a closet and rebuilding it down the hall, finishing the walls, and tiling the floor), I designed the bench and shelves to fit the space and add both functionality and warmth to the small room.
The homeowner had been saving this salvaged wood for a special project, but hadn't yet found its purpose until this foyer renovation. After seeing the finished space, shelves seemed like a great use of the wood.
Rounded edges are not only aesthetically pleasing, they are also safer, especially when shelves are shoulder height.
Made from White oak, and designed to hold a cushion.
